Acrylic on canvas
and ink on
paper.

Arcos creates original works in acrylic on canvas and ink on paper. Planned paths become physical marks through a brush, technical pen, or another tool chosen for the work. Paint, ink, and surface shape the finished piece.

Each work is a one-of-one physical original, shaped by a system and by material variations that cannot be repeated exactly.

Ink on paper series

Curves of Her is an ongoing series of one-of-one A3 ink drawings on Fabriano paper. Fine line, spacing, overlap, and paper surface shape each work.

Works by medium

Two materials, one practice.

Process

A system, a movement, a surface.

Each work begins with a planned structure and is completed directly on paper or canvas. A brush carries acrylic paint across canvas, while a technical pen draws ink onto paper.

The path sets the movement, but material contact determines what remains: paint load, brush drag, ink flow, paper absorption, and canvas texture.
